An extra practice session is now scheduled for Thursday afternoon (23 August) from 12.30pm to 4.30pm. This will be followed by the normal scheduled evening practice which will see roads close again at 6pm.
This comes after the `cancellation of Monday's and Tuesday's practice sessions `and the curtailment of Saturday's opening session because of misty conditions on the mountain.
But forecasters say the weather is now set to improve, with dry and bright weather through much of the`day on Thursday though Friday still looks unsettled.
A spokesman from the meteorological office said: 'There will be some scattered showers around on Friday but we will have to wait and see how many we get on the `day.'
The longer range forecast is for the weather to be dry, bright and sunny on Saturday but rain is possible on Sunday during the popular Jurby Day.
However the start of next week (race week) looks drier and more settled.
