Manx Grand Prix Practice Session One – Saturday 22nd August.

The Clerk of the Course welcomed all the competitors to the first practice session of the 2009 Manx Grand Prix, saying the Met Office at Ronaldsway had given clear weather until around 8.00pm.

The opening session commenced with untimed and controlled laps for Newcomers.

The session was slightly delayed by circumstances beyond the Club's control and got underway at 18.35.

19.00 sharp the Lightweight, Junior and Senior competitors set off from the Pit Lane for their first taste on the Snaefell Mountain Course.

19.35 saw the Post Classics, Classic and Newcomers commence their initial practice session.
