In contrasting conditions to last nights practice session, riders were greeted with dry sunny conditions, as the second practice session of the 2008 Manx Grand Prix got underway a few minutes late, after having moved marshals to various parts of the course. The first part of the session saw Senior, Junior and Newcomers A in action in what were described as near perfect conditions, as Brian Spooner on his 349cc Yamaha and Ryan McCay were the first pair away. First to complete a lap was Scott Wilson on his Senior Suzuki 750cc in a time of 19m 31.48s, a speed of 115.945mph, which proved to be the fastest lap of the session. Next was the Junior machine of Ryan McCay on his 600cc Suzuki in a time of 19m 47.92s a speed of 114.341mph, also the fastest lap of the class. Both came in at the end of the lap. Scott Wilson jumped straight on to his Junior machine and set off for a second lap. Newcomers A was headed by Kevin Fitzpatrick with a lap in 21m 01.43s a speed of 107.678mph. The chequered flag was displayed to riders at 8.10pm.
