Manx Grand Prix Stalwarts Honoured (16th January, 2009)

Geoff Karran and Martin Moore, both Past Presidents of the Manx Motor Cycle Club, organisers of the Manx Grand Prix were honoured with MBE’s in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list.
Both Geoff and Martin have been involved with the running of the annual races on the Snaefell Mountain Course for over thirty (30) years, each having been Club Chairmen and Club Presidents.
Advocates by profession, although recently retired, and now taking a less active role in the organisation of the Manx Grand Prix, they are still avid ‘fans’ of the famous races, which have been the training ground for many future TT stars and World Champions, and are still involved in various capacities during the races, whilst they are always available for advice drawn from their many years of experience.
The present committee are pleased to congratulate both Geoff Karran and Martin Moore on receiving their honours and join previous Manx Grand Prix Stalwarts who have received similar honours over the years.
