Rosie Christian along with her family are all ardent supporters of Motor Cycle Racing on the Isle of Man. Rosie and her husband, Eddie, who are both bikers themselves are licensees of the Sulby Glen Hotel which has hosted the Manx Grand Prix Supporters Club for over thirty two years! Each year the Supporters Club raise all the monies voluntarily both on and off the Island towards the hire costs of the Rescue Helicopter on duty for the Manx Grand Prix, and during their existence have donated over £400,000,000, which is a fantastic achievement to all concerned. Last year, their donation was £37,025,00, however, this year the cost will have increased so their contribution will have to be more as a result.

Eddie, is chief sector Marshal for section seven on the T.T course and has Marshaled for over forty five years!

Two of their sons Matthew Sayle and Daniel Sayle are both prominent sidecar racers! Dan will be back in the chair with Dave Molyneaux for TT ’08 no doubt hoping to renew their winning partnership while Matthew will be at the helm with Tony Palacio providing the ballast. Dan is of course a front runner in the Ultra Lightweight class at the Manx Grand Prix.

Wearing two hats is always difficult but try wearing the hat of a race fan and supporter along with that of a Mother, with two sons racing! It is certainly not an easy task...

So with that in mind Rosie decided to raise that much needed funding, for the Manx Grand Prix Rescue Helicopters, by parachuting out of a plane at 10,000 feet! This by no means an easy task for Rosie as climbing a ladder to change a light bulb, is something undertaken with great anxiety!

The whole family is in support of this spectacular venture, and will travel to Lancaster airfield on July 14th. making the jump along with Rosie will be her four sons, Paul, Bobby, Matthew and Daniel together with Paul’s fiancée Sadie Cooper and her friend Laura Kinrade.

Sponsorship forms are available for anybody wishing to support Motor Cycle Racing on the Isle of Man by helping us raise as much needed funding to continue to hire the Rescue Helicopter for the Manx Grand Prix.
