A new look Vintage Motorcycle Club Manx Rally should see a bigger range of bikes taking part as well as a track day at Jurby airfield and of course the traditional closed road parade.
The changes have come about after organisation of the event was taken over by the Isle of Man section of the Vintage Motor Cycle Club.
Previous events were run by the UK Vintage Motorcycle Club, but when it pulled out of this year's event the Isle of Man section stepped in to rescue it.
Isle of Man section secretary Tony East said: " The non competitive Jurby track day was a major change. New rules mean entrants can use more than one bike, encouraging a greater variety of machinery, including track day bikes that may not be road legal".
The
Jurby track day will take place on Sunday August 30th as part of a series of events including Quarter Bridge to Ramsey and Ramsey to the TT Grandstand closed roads parade and a timed run with checkpoints, ending with a concourse display in Mooragh Park, Ramsey. Plans for the event have already aroused interest from as far afield as Spain, and Italy.
Tony added:" we have concessionary rates from the Steam Packet so are looking forward to a good event with possibly 300 to 400 participants.
