Chris Rowe

Chris Rowe at an MMCC dinner

It was with great sadness that we received the news that former Chief Scrutineer for the TT & MGP, Chris Rowe passed away on Saturday morning after a short illness.

Chris joined the MGP Scrutineering team in 1981, becoming the Chief Scrutineer in the mid 1990s and the 1st to hold an FIM licence.

Club Chairman and fellow Scrutineer, Harvey Garton said that Chris was highly respected by all the competitors and his colleagues on the team.  He was always very approachable and went out of his way to help the riders with any issues they had with their machines.

The Club wishes to pass on their condolences to Chris’ family and friends.
