The Manx Motor Cycle Club were very saddened to hear of the death of one it’s popular riders, Dean Martin, who lost his life whilst practising for the preTT Classic at Billown on Friday evening. The Club passes on it’s deepest sympathy to Dean’s partner, Hilary, family and friends.
Dean had been a regular Manx Grand Prix competitor since 1995. In 2002 he was 7th in the Lightweight Race and just missed out on a podium place when he came 4th in the same race in 2010.
Club Chairman Harvey Garton said “Dean was a staunch supporter of 2stroke machines and regularly rode for the Padgett family from Batley. He had numerous top 10 placings in the MGP Classic races and competed in last year’s Classic TT and MGP. He will be sadly missed in and around the Paddock”
