The Manx Motor Cycle Club Committee and members would like to express their sincere condolences to wife Lisa, daughter Amy, other family members and friends of Gary Carswell who sadly lost his life at Jurby on Saturday.

Gary first raced at the MGP in the Junior Newcomers in 1991 and continued racing successfully each year in the Junior and Senior races. In 1997 he achieved his ambition of winning a Manx Grand Prix race and proudly stood in the centre of the podium for the garlanding of the Senior race.

Gary was a keen supporter of the Manx Grand Prix and will be sadly missed by all those involved in the MGP and all racing in the Isle of Man.
